Are you experiencing sensitivity? Have you ever experienced sensitivity? What is sensitive skin?

Sensitive skin is not a skin disease that doctors can diagnose. It is a skin condition that may cause itchiness, burning sensation, redness and inflammation when the skin exposes to a certain environment or product (skin care products, cosmetic products, fragrance… etc.)

Stratum corneum is the outer layer of the skin. It protects skin from environmental damage and helps to keep skin hydrated. Once it lost balance or damaged, your skin gets dehydrated and irritated, some people may also feel dehydration and oiliness at the same time.

What causes sensitive skin?

Dryness, Dehydration

Allergy

Contact irritant

Skin disease

Photo damage

Overly cleanse without applying moisturizer

These are common reasons that cause sensitive skin. Except for skin diseases and allergy, if your sensitivity is caused by physical damage such as UV light, air conditioning, heating, lack of proper skin care, you can build a healthy skin care routine and reverse the situation easily.

What to do?

As we mentioned above, good skin care routine is very important for improving sensitivity. First of all, minimize products, so skin can breathe. To further improve the situation, repairing and hydrating are the key points of a healthy skin care routine. Use mild hydrating serum that is able to deeply penetrate into the skin and lock the moisture with natural ingredients. When the skin barrier is restored, you will see hydrated, soft, supple, firm and glowing skin.

Here is Bao’s recommendation for a healthy skin care routine.

Products: VitaB5 HA Quenching Serum, Persphone Eye Serum Oil, Lotus Squalane Healing Fafial Oil, Avocado Green Tea Hydra Soothing Cream

Steps:

Apply 2-3 drops VitaB5 HA Quenching serum and apply in patting motion.

Take 1 drop of Persphone Eye Serum Oil, gently patting around the eye area with ring finger.

Follow with Lotus Squalane Healing Facial Oil also in patting motion. 3 drops are enough for the whole face. Layer one more time on dry or sensitive area.

Finish with sunscreen.

Night: Cleanse face with mild face wash, follow with non-alcohol toner.

Apply 2-3 drops VitaB5 HA Quenching Serum in patting motion.

Take 1-2 drops of Persphone Eye Serum Oil/ Intuition Eye Serum Oil, patting around the eye area with ring finger.

Follow with Lotus Squalane Healing Facial Oil also in patting motion. 3 drops are enough for the whole face. Layer one more time on dry or sensitive area.

Avoid overly cleanse, exfoliate or use cleansing water during repair, it may cause more sensitivity issues. Minimize makeup usage and only cleanse with mild face wash.
